I love linking up to Oh Boy' Farley's Currently Linky Party!
Listening - Have you tried blogging with a 90lb "puppy" also trying to sit in your lap? Well, let me tell ya...it's not that easy. Love that dog but boy does she like your constant attention!!!
Loving - I'm not going to lie these 3-day weekend has been nice!!!! And knowing I only have to work for 4 days this week is feeling pretty good!
Thinking - We've just made some changes at our school with the ESE students (what we call special ed). The self-contained classroom was getting WAY overfilled. So I've taken 5 of her 1st & 2nd grade students to make my own homeroom class plus I still have my resource students. So now I've got students all day long (and they are a sweet, sweet bunch of girls) and a lot of coming and going out of the classroom. I've been feeling pretty overwhelmed about trying to figure out how to teach all of the students and meet their needs. I know I'll figure out a system and lesson plans.......right now I'm feeling super overwhelmed!
Wanting - Saturday and Sunday were so nice but I wasn't able to make it to the beach. We were planning on going today (I can lesson plan there right?) but I already hear thunder. Let's hope it passes quickly!
Needing - I've been trying to eat healthier and make better choices. This weekend......not so much! I've been working hard at boot camp 4 times a week the last 6 weeks and I've lost almost 10lbs. I'm super happy about the changes but it does take more planning. I really need to get to the store today or this week will be shot!
Favorite Things - Here's some great recipes I've tried off Pinterest lately that I've loved!
1. Roasted Chicken in the Crockpot - Oh man, this chicken is so simple but soooo good. I've been making it once a week. Not only does the chicken taste good but then I can use the leftovers for chicken quesadillas and my lunch! Double win!
2. Pork Carnitas Tacos in the Crockpot - These tacos were YUMMY!!! A huge hit at my house and with my neighbor. There were also leftovers that I took for lunch. We'll probably put this in our weekly rotation, too. It was delicious!
*Disclaimer - These are not my photos but came from original blog.
Does anyone have great crockpot recipes to share? I can see this being my saving grace to still eating healthy now that I'm back to work.
I, like you, need to plan a menu for the week. This is actually something new to me! We usually just go to the store and buy up whatever looks or sounds good -- but it hasn't worked out well for us in the past so we're trying the planning route! Thanks for sharing those crockpot recipes! Would you believe I've NEVER used my crockpot? I think it's time to start! ;)

I am doing the same things you are!!! Worrying about writing lesson plans and wanting to go to the beach. The sun is out here but we are going to get thunderstorms too. Don't want to try to pack up the jeep and get off the beach quickly...no fun! I have 2 autism students this year. I'll be visiting your blog!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I have a 85 pound german shepard 'puppy' who loves to sit next to me on the couch and tries to lay her head in my lap while I am on my laptop.

I've recently started menu planning. It has been really helpful. I love referring to my Pinterest boards for inspiration. Crockpot meals have to be some of my favorite. I haven't tried all the ones on my crockpot board, but feel free to take a a look.

I have learned to plan ahead for all the special occasions. Birthday cards is are truly a treat. A great way to have a celebrate a special and sentimental occasion means to give personalized birthday invites.
